Some noble soul out there, just wanted to have fun and sent the entire cyber community into a wow! mode! Intrestingly Infosys does not have an office in Kuwait and does not plan to open one in the next few quarters.
Kennametal Shared Services cuts salary

Bangalore-based Kennametal Shared Services Private Limited (KSSPL) is a captive unit set up to provide Information Technology support to Kennametal Inc., one of the leading manufacturing organization and provider of Metal Cutting solutions. Kennametal Inc. is based in Latrobe, Pennsylvania in United States and is the market leader in providing Metal Cutting solutions.
There are about 170 employees working for KSSPL.
During these tough economic times, Kennametal Shared Services Private Limited, like other tech organizations in India, is concentrating on cutting costs. In the process, the management of Kennametal Shared Services Private Limited has decided to give out forced vacation to the employees and deduct twenty-five percent from their salaries. This will be implemented in May and June 2009. The employees are being encouraged to be on a week off, without pay in a planned, skewed manner so that the existing customers are not affected.
However like many IT majors the company has not yet resorted to work force reduction or firing.

The top management of Satyam in consultation with its new owner Tech Mahindra has prepared a list of around 10,000 employees who have not been billed for over six months now. These employees are set to be offered 40% of their existing salary for six months, along with medical insurance and provident fund as the Severance package.
This is not confimed yet.
CTS shifts employees to BPO division?

I am working in CTS, supposedly one of the best companies in India. I joined as a programmer trainee on dec 2007 after 4 months training in software testing, suddenly we have been informed that since there are no more projects in Testing we are being moved to the BPO division and that too 200 of us!
Without the employee’s permission they changed the department as BPO in peoplesoft portal. Still some of them are asking for there rights moving back to IT. But management has so far not done anything to address this.
I hope somebody does something about this.

No profit, no growth, only termination in MindTree Ltd.

In the recent interview to 1 of the leading news channel, MindTree CEO Parthasarathy announced that in the current market scnerio, MindTree will not terminnate any employee due to recession but last week, MindTree has terminated more than 600 employees without any prior announcements.
My view is that MindTree is becoming second Satyam and very soon it will be acquired by some other company as MindTree is not doing well. MindTree has already declared that it will not give any promotion and salary hike to any of the employee and there is strong chances of salary deduction. MindTree only announce about the CLASS value but never follows its CLASS value.
I have became the victim of this recession and now searching the job when there is no job in the market.
Please stop firing of employees in this recession period.
