Work Environment: Extremely high level of office politics. Incompetent people including managers. Managers not able to foresee what the client will ask for next. Consequently developers become scapegoats. Also they will force you to work on different skill sets in short time,so that you cannot develop any expertise in any skill set. Work is mainly porting and testing. Very very little development. In case you are well connected or from HCL yes you will get onsite else forget about this.
The Salary is not that good, initial may be good but during appraisals they will come up with various excuses, to block any kind of raise.

    this posting is 100% correct, most of these kind of issues and firing has not come to light like other companies. this is really true.

    I dont agree to whatever is written…

    If you are not able to deliver quality work then defenitely you dont get any appreciation and everything seems political…

    No Service Industry will give you assurity about the next technology on which you will be working, yes the domain could be the same but not the technology..I think people who expect similar work throughout his career must join a Product company and not a Service based company.

    Task is assigned on basis of the expertise level of the employee. Incase you are technically strong then definitely you’ll be assigned some core work..and vice versa..

    You get onsite opportunity incase the present opportunity matches your skillset and offcourse if its felt that you are a good resource to work at client’s location…FYI more than 70 % of the present onsite strength is from JV, not from HCL.

    Salary Depends on the level of expertise you have, not on the years of experience you have…A 10 year exp guy could also have the same level which a 5 years exp employee has..You get what you deserve !!

    The last guy to post the comments must be either a HCL chela or he hardly care about his career. Why the hell such companies are there in India and spoiling careers of youngsters. Let me comments on the previous post !

    Does NECHCL Managers know what does quality means? Leave apart appreciation, you guys are not even eligible to abuse others !

    Task is not assigned on expertise basis, rather it is assigned on requirement basis. When the japanese clients giveask work you give work whoever is available !

    Hi Guys, I am a fresher and was planning to send my resume to this company. Now at least I will not apply there, of course I will prefer to wait little more to get into a better company than these Political theaters. Thanks a lot for the site and people providing such good info !

    I feel that the views expressed are extreme in nature. Politics is there at each and every company, big or small, Indian or MNC, Product or service. It arises out of differences in human nature and is unavoidable. However at NHST, it is still negligible compared to the some other companies like freescale Cadence, IBM or even HCL for that matter. If you would have worked in some companies like them, you would realise what politics actually mean. When somebody does not get promoted while his colleague is, things start to crop up like “the manager favors a person because he is from the same state or he is from his old company”. However, one tends to neglect the mistakes that he/she committed and blame the managers for favorism and politics. Also, Managers are also human and have a standard for accessing potential and experience of employees, which one does not realise until one himself becomes one. So wait and watch till the same comments are written about you by somebody else.

    Managers and leaders are the mentors for young engineers and mentors never do something unjustified which can affect future of any individual

    Well everything in this world is not black or white…there is always a grey area.
    If u r planning to join a service based company..u have to be jack of all….rather then master of One. because they dont do R&D in one domain and produce expertice in them, like product based companies does.

    politics is everywhr, in every company…and THIS IS A FACT.
    No one SAINT….neither you nor ur Manager.
    u opt for service based company at low package, thinking that u will get a chance for Onsite oppertunity….if u get it in any domain , its fine with u… and everything is Okay.
    if NOT…u started blaming for spoiling ur career.
    Managers are partial…always partial…for those who give good result with less guidance.

    Companies like ..HCL group will pay you back , if you stick to the company.(thats the golden rule of any service based company)

    don’t show experience of VEDIC INFO SYSTEMS in Satyam, Wipro, TCS, CTS, MINDTREE, BIRLASOFT, IBM, HSBC and INFY as its blacklisted in these companies.

    I know there are always some followers of bad also in this world. The managers in such small companies live life like king. They hardly know anything, but they always teach the freshers and help them spoil their career.Politics as you call it office rajniti is a day to day fact in this company. I know this company quite well, the leaders are really very dumb here.You will soon this company where it is going, may be within few years of time. HCL may be a better option though. God help those working this company !

    hcl is charging 2008 freshets 30k and for training and then also firing people

I know this company quite well, the leaders are really very dumb here.You will soon this company where it is going, may be within few years of time. HCL may be a better option though.
